How it actually works

A card on file fails and somebody works down a list making awkward phone calls, or nobody does and the membership quietly lapses. Tell it a card was declined and hand it the update link from your own payment processor, and the member gets a plain note the next day, then two more on a schedule, each carrying that link. The tone assumes an expired card rather than a problem, because that is what it usually is.

What we need from you

  • The member and the update link from your payment processor
  • Nothing else; it uses your own words at setup

What you get back

  • Three notes on a schedule, each carrying your processor's update link
  • Wording that assumes an expired card, not a lecture
  • A last note that says it is the last one
  • The whole sequence stops the moment you say it is sorted

The update link is YOURS, from your payment processor, and this System never sees, stores or asks for a card number: it sends your link and nothing else. It does not retry a payment, cannot tell you whether one succeeded, and never suspends or cancels anybody. What happens to a membership that stays unpaid is your decision and your agreement with the member. The listed price covers up to 100 documents or pages a month. Past that it moves to the next tier, and we tell you before it does, never after.
