How it actually works

Every shop keeps the list: the bad checks, the chargeback abusers, the one who threatens a review over every invoice. It lives on a sticky note by the register or in the owner's head, and the Saturday counter person has never seen it. Now it is one shared book: a name goes in with the reason, dated and signed by whoever wrote it, and anyone at the counter can look a name up in two seconds. A welcome-back is an entry too, so a second chance is written down the same way the first strike was.
